Reproduce a result before modifying it
Start with a precise code revision and a small data selection. Note the run command, the installed versions and the effective parameters. If the project already has a control result, compare it before applying your first change.
This step is useful for an old notebook whose dependencies have evolved. Replace implicit installs with a documented procedure, then verify that a new environment produces output that meets your task's criteria.
Make memory an observed variable
The 24 GB must hold the active elements of the processing, not just the model file. A lightweight adaptation can save certain states, but it still has needs for activations and inputs. Measure a full step with the length or resolution you actually target.
Reduce the micro-batch to diagnose an overflow, then check the quality and time of your scenario. If the project requires excessive compromises to fit, changing capacity can be simpler than multiplying fragile settings.
Choose the upgrade that simplifies the project
The RTX 4090 also offers 24 GB on Ada: compare it if you want to study the next generation without changing your memory budget. The RTX A6000 brings 48 GB on Ampere when capacity is the priority. The RTX A5000 is another 24 GB option for an already-qualified professional environment.
Prepare a plan and an experiment record
Three days may be enough to establish a targeted reproduction; 7 days give room for several variants; 30 days suit a set of organized experiments. Choose according to the tasks planned, including evaluation and checkpoint retrieval.
In the configurator, select RTX 3090, your batches, the setup and the period. Enter first name, last name and email, then the crypto method. The service lets you choose your software without inspecting the content of your processing. After transfer, use "I've paid" to report it in your order.
